My family and I recently entrusted my mother’s care to Rebecca and her team. Tammy, in particular, worked with us to ensure my mother’s services were best reflective of who she was in life. Tammy clearly views her work not only as a calling but as her ministry. Rebecca’s gentleness and Tammy’s care allowed my family to grieve without adding undo stress in making difficult decisions. Rebecca and her team go above and beyond professionalism by adding that human touch and care. My family and I are forever indebted to them for the care, support and understanding they provided during our time of bereavement. We could never thank them enough.
Leila Marvel-Hall and the Davis Funeral Home team were incredibly professional and empathetic during this difficult time. Leila handled every detail of the arrangements with dignity and care. From the initial planning to the final service, her ability to guide us through complex logistics with patience and grace allowed our family to focus on grieving and honoring our loved one. The level of respect and compassion Leila showed toward James was truly moving. Every request we made was met with a 'can-do' attitude and a gentle, reassuring presence, making a painful process more bearable. She and the Davis team have a rare gift for creating an atmosphere of peace and solemnity. We are forever grateful for the seamless and respectful care we received.
It is clear that Tammy Hill views this work as a calling, not just a job. She transformed a time of deep sorrow into a beautiful, respectful, and organized tribute to our mother/grandmother Dorothy Johnson’s life. To Tammy Hill and the entire staff at Davis Funeral Home-Roxbury, thank you. Your kindness, competence, and care made an unbearable loss a little more bearable. We highly recommend your services and will be forever grateful for the support you extended to our family. Every aspect of the viewing, funeral, and burial was executed with precision. Tammy Hill clearly explained every step of the process, from the paperwork to the service timeline, making a complicated process feel manageable. And made us feel like our family was their only priority. We highly recommend your services and will be forever grateful for the support you extended to our family.
Sincerely,
The Family of Dorothy Johnson

I recently had the pleasure of sending my grandmother off in style by way of Davis Funeral home in Roxbury.
We were a family grief stricken by the sudden death of our loved one and had to begin the process of planning arrangements. We made our way to our appointment and had the pleasure of meeting Funeral Director Tammy Hill.
She greeted us and gave us our condolences. We were a bit uneasy because we just couldn't believe this was something we had to do. She took such great care of us and made the process that much easier. She explained and answered every question anyone of our family members had. Tammy was patient, knowledgeable, kind, genuine and caring. She paid attention to detail and our wishes and my grandmother was treated with such dignity that we didn't worry or wonder. Tammy was the calm in our storm. She stayed with us from the start of our process until the very end and maintained contact throughout the process. Every-time we reached out she responded without hesitation. We will forever be thankful and grateful for Tammy and all that she did for our family when we needed it most. Davis Funeral Home, Tammy is a gem and cannot be replicated or duplicated. Please know that she represents Davis with the utmost respect and professionalism. While I hope that I don't have burry another loved one anytime soon, if I had to, I would request Tammy at Davis in Roxbury.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart Tammy!!

The care and compassion you demonstrated from the time you went to take possession of my sister's body to the phone call after she had been entombed, you have demonstrated nothing less than the epitome of compassionate understanding of the process.
Tammy Hill runs an organization that keeps the care of the deceased and their family top of mind at all times.
I was highly impressed with how you gently guided us through this process, your coordinating abilities; how you took the pressure off of the family by making phone calls and putting things in place. Everytime I had something in place that didn't work out, Tammy you stepped in and made it right.
I want you to know that it is very clear that this is your calling, your passion and your anointing.
If ever, I can do anything for you, I am but a phone call or email away.
Thank you Tammy, thank you!
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your exceptional service during the recent loss of my beloved husband, Errol Joseph. Your professionalism and compassion throughout this challenging time were invaluable to me and my family.
We were particularly impressed by your attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect for Errol Joseph's funeral. Your calm and reassuring presence helped us all feel supported and comforted during a very emotional time.
I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and dedication. You made a difficult situation much more bearable, and we will never forget your generosity.

Tammy, you are a fantastic person. You have a remarkable ability to identify and understand other people's emotions. Most importantly, you are an active listener. There is one moment that stood out while making final arrangements for my brother-in-law, Errol Joseph. My sister became discombobulated. You recognized her pain, and I watched you turn your entire body towards her, pull your chair up, and meet her where she was. Thank you for being the support she needed at the right time and in the right place.
Tammy and the Davis Funeral of Boston come highly recommended. I appreciate your care and all that you do.
Sister-in-law of Errol Joseph

Davis Funeral Home never seems to disappoint our family when difficult times such as the loss of a loved one comes along. We are truly grateful for the high level of professionalism, knowledge and expertise shared, and display of genuine care and stellar service received from Tammy and the funeral home staff involved in the care of our beloved relative, Peter Johnson. Our relative was well taken cared of and properly and efficiently sent home. Thank you Tammy and the entire Davis Funeral Home staff. We sincerely appreciate you!
Dear Davis Funeral Home, Thank you so much for making my mother's funeral bearable. It's been 6 years since we had her funeral but it seems like yesterday. To this day I can remember what my mother taught me. She was my closest friend throughout my childhood and most of my adult life .She wasn't a good 89 ,but you made her looking like she was 40 years old. She is in the Roslindale Cemetery. but she will always be in my heart .Never close your doors. You are Boston's best!
I want to thank all of the staff at Davis Funeral Home for their compassion, professionalism and their patience. For a person never having to use these services, you made this such a smooth process. When I say all staff who assisted me, that is what I mean. They did such an excellent job with my son and the service. Everyone was so neat in appearance and cared so much. They always made sure I knew what they were going to do next to ensure I was comfortable and/or ready for it. Their recommendations and accommodations they shared with me were all based on their dealings with many families which really helped me decide on which service I wanted. I could not have chosen a better business to lay my son to rest. It is nice to know that we have such quality service right here in our community.

I have been telling Willy stories ever since the George Floyd killing. I worked with Willie in the 70s.
It was discussions is my friend Willie that open my eyes to prejudiced in the police department. I was convinced that anyone, when pulled over admitted guilt and didn't give the police a hard time would be given a break. Willie explained that was me, because I am white. It open my eyes and I have believed in a double-stranded ever since.
Rest in peace Willie.

13 Brothers and sisters, we don’t want you to be uninformed about this who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. I love you, your sister in Christ. Catherine!

Daddy, every time I think about living in this sinful earth without being able to talk to you or hear your voicemail, "Tracey, this is your Dad", the wind is knocked out of me and I can't breathe. Daddy, I miss you so desperately! But I know that you were ready and prepared to rest. Rest on and GOD willing we will see each other when Jesus comes.
