Rebecca Ridley

Ms. Ridley was born and raised in Boston. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. She became interested in funeral service when Mrs. Davis approached the pastor in Rebecca’s church to ask if he knew a young person who might be a good candidate for a career as a funeral director. The Pastor recommended Rebecca Ridley, whose eyes were opened to a new and inspiring direction in life. Rebecca subsequently attended and received a Diploma in Funeral Service from Mount Ida College, becoming a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 1992.
After ten years, the former owner of Davis Funeral Home entrusted Rebecca with the legacy she and her husband began in 1935. Rebecca purchased the Davis Funeral Home from Mrs. Davis in 2001. She is Past President of the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association, and currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Roxbury YMCA.
Rebecca says, … "it was here at Davis Funeral Home that I found my purpose in life. My singular resolve is to serve bereaved families and the communities where they live.”
