Wilson Lewis Hunt, PHD, was born in Memphis, Tenn. on August 8, 1920. He died on May 14, 2020 at the age of 99. Married to Anita Dorthea Terrelonge. They had two sons, Wilson Lewis Hunt, Jr and Alan Ernest Hunt. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is one of three sons of Reverend Blair Theodore Hunt, Jr. and Ernestine Martin, both of Memphis, Blair III, Wilson, and Ernest.
He graduated from Boston Latin School, Northeastern University and Boston University. He was a clinical psychologist, a skillful diagnostician and therapist. Chief Psychologist at Boston State Hospital Outpatient Clinic. Worked in the VA Hospitals in Chillicothe, Ohio and Canandaigua, NY County Mental Health Clinic in Syracuse NY, Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, and Tufts NE Medical Center. Clinical Director of New Bedford Area Human Services, private practice at Orthonoetics, a group practice.
Wilson was a member of the American Psychological Association, chairman of the Board of Deacons, Plymouth Congregational Church, Syracuse, NY, and was active in Civil Rights efforts. He served with the military in WWII as a technical sergeant.
