Willie Brown, III, passed on, May 31,2022. He was a native of Sanford, Florida, who spent his adult life in Roxbury, Massachusetts. For his life’s work was to ensure the liberation of all people and especially the elimination of road blocks that hindered the achievement of Black people. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife of 52 years Verdaya Mitchell-Brown, his son Nzinga Brown (New York), daughters Zakia Brown (Dorchester, MA) and Geju Brown-Bass and husband Earnest Bass (Roxbury, MA), five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his sister Claudia Brown (Sanford, Fla.), and brother Dallas “Deshine” Brown, wife Donna, nieces, nephew, his God sister and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles and friends.
