Wilbert “Papa” Concetas Constant was born on October 16th, 1936 in St. John Parish, Antigua to his beloved mother, Pricilla Henry and submitted to his place in heaven on August 5th, 2020 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Wilbert was a loving husband, he married his loving wife Ethel Constant on May 27th, 1977 in Selma, Alabama; his wife preceded him in death on November 10th, 2011.
Wilbert enjoyed his life as a laborer, specializing in carpentry and being known in his community as a jack of all trades; he could do everything from build a porch to paint a multi story home!. One of his favorite places in the world was in his home garden where he grew many beautiful plants and vegetables annually. He was a committed man to his family and would do anything to help when they were in need. Wilbert has a host of siblings and family in Boston, Antigua, Connecticut, St.Thomas, and all over the globe!
Wilbert Constant will be remembered by his beloved children and step children (listed from oldest to youngest): Charles, Richard, Dorothy, Cedric, Shirley, Michael, Lee, Sharon, Helen Janice, Wayne,Yvonne, Bernadine, and Johnnie; his grandchildren ,nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends.
His legacy will always be remembered as a kind and strong man who lived life in a brave and respectable manner. He loved to refer to himself as a “Man of Business”.
His journey to America and successes in life have a lot to do with the person he was and his commitment to living a dignified and spiritual life!
