Walter William Farrell
“Butch”
Walter William Farrell was born on August 15, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Charles and Marie Farrell. “Butch” as family and close friends knew him grew up and avid sports fan. He loved baseball, football and basketball. He came from a very close-knit family and after graduating from Central High School his journey led him to Boston, Massachusetts in the mid to late 60’s. He married Jeannette Marshall of Boston in which they had three beautiful children. Bryant, Andrea and Peter.
Walter first worked briefly at the Quincy Shipyard then an almost 30-year career at the Gillette Company in South Boston. After retirement he worked part time for United Airlines. Walter was an Elk and a Mason. He was also a bartender at the Woodbine Elks Lodge. Walter loved to dance and there was never ever a dull moment when he was around. No matter what the occasion you could almost always count on him being there. If he would disagree with you, he still had love for you. He was truly a handful to deal with at times. Walter was always a sharp dresser. You never saw him careless with his appearance.
Walter leaves behind his son Bryant and his wife Michelle Farrell of Randolph; son, Peter Farrell of Boston; grandson, Bryant Fair, granddaughter, Shaqueena Appleberry; two great grandsons Zamari Genlin and Kyro Fair. He also leaves an aunt Margaret Lewis of Brooklyn, NY; family patriarch, Ernest Alls of Roxbury; nephew, Charles Thomas of California and niece, Kimberly Francis of Boston He is predeceased by his daughter, Andrea Yvonne Farrell and granddaughter Quanisha Stevens He is survived by a host of relatives and friends.
