Valerie Gales Obituary

Valerie Maxine  Gales was born on June 24th in Brooklyn, New York, Valerie was 1 of (5) children  and the 3rd oldest of Mamie "Ruth " Gales and Bobbil Gales.

Valerie was raised in Boston's Academy Homes "darkside" as they say.  Later she attended Paul A. Dever (elementary school), Theodore Roosevelt (middle school), English High where she took automotive and photography.  Finishing her education at Wilfred Academy of hair and beauty for Cosmetology.

Valerie's careers consisted of customer service and retail both which she pursued for many years.  Some of the things she enjoyed in her youth was basketball, double dutch and softball.

Valerie was a mother to (6) girls and loving grandmother to all of her grandchildren and an amazing caring sister, aunt  and wife.  Known to be the life of the party and well respected amongst family and friends.  She was good no matter where she went because she always kept it real.  Valerie was loved by many and could really turn a party up.  "The flyest thing walking back in the day" from what I heard.  She truly loved her family and always had some wild phrases like "meanwhile back at the ranch", don't pull up a chair and rent space in my head" and as we all know "and I mean it".  Things she enjoyed to do was spend time with her grandchildren and listening to music nd in her words "drop it like it's hot" while dancing.

She is preceded in death by her mother Mamie Ruth Gales and her brother Nathaniel Gales.

Valerie is survived by her loving children Natheena Gales-Semedo, Valerie Gales, Nakema Gales, Justina Gales, Richina Gales and Adema Gales.  Husband Adam Mayombwe.  Dear grandmother of Kesean, Lamari, Jordan and Jahni.  Beloved sister of Bobby Gales, Donnice Gales, Vivian Gales, Fredericka Golston and Kelly Stone.  Special aunt of Toddia, Charles, Leroy, Chubbs, David, Keyana, Chantell, Murtalah, Monet, Micheal, Jr., Josiah "JoJo", baby Elijah, Aiyana, Saeeda, Niylah, Lanyshia, ZIon and Jayce.  She is also survived by a loving host of other relatives and dear friends.
