Torrance Hodges

Torrance Hodges, died unexpectedly on April 23, 2023.  He was 53 years old.  The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Torrance was born on October 17, 1969, in Summit, NJ to Lois Hodges and the late Fred Hodges.

Torrance attended Union High School in 1983 where he ran track, made many friends, and made people laugh.  He graduated in 1987.

After graduating high school in 1987, Torrance played an instrumental role in the family business, Hodges Rubbish Removal.

Torrance loved Family and he was known as the family comedian. He also loved dancing and developed a love for club music; his favorite song was Flowers, which always gave him the motivation to display his great dance moves.  He was always the life of the party, and never met a stranger.  He also loved BET movies, but his favorite movie of all time was Stir Crazy.  As far as sports, Torrance was a huge football fan and absolutely loved the Dallas Cowboys!!!!

Torrance is preceded in death by his father Fred Hodges, paternal grandparents Sally Mae and Owen Hodges, maternal grandparents Will and Bessie Lucas.

He leaves to cherish his memory; daughter Shawna Hodges, mother Lois Hodges, brothers Alvin (Tracey), Shawn and Kelvis (Pat), sisters Victoria, Shirley and Sherry. Goddaughter Ayannah, partner Shauna Lovejones.  He is also survived by a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives  and dear friends.!!
