Susan K. Washington

Susan "Auntie Susan" Washington was born on October 3rd, 1953 in Boston. Massachusetts to Ruth Taylor and the Late Donald B. Washington,Sr.

Susan was a Mother,Grandmother, Daughter, Aunt, Cousin, Scholar and Cherished Friend to many.

Throughout her life education remained a cornerstone. Susan started off her academic career attending Boston Public School, a graduate of Roslindale High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Boston State college. She also attended Cambridge College, where she completed her Master’s Degree. Susan moved on to teach at Titche Elementary in Pleasant Grove, Texas and Madison Park Vocational High School in Boston, Massachusetts. and a host of other Boston Public Schools.

She enjoyed traveling with family, whether it was cross country or to Martha’s Vineyard over the summer. She loved being surrounded by family, and devoted her time to bringing us together; helping plan family reunions, Kwanzaa Celebrations, and was always one phone call away. Susan, also known as "Auntie Susan" to our younger generation  because of her ability to build individual relationships with everyone no matter the age, was able to bridge the gap between all generations.

One of Susan's most prized  relationships was that with her son DiMarco. Susan was a beautiful soul who was known for putting love in our family.

Susan loved music. some or her favorite genres being: Gospel, Jazz, NeoSoul and Disco Funk. She loved seafood, hanging out and reflecting with Auntie Betty. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods with her Friends and Family; spending time with each other and making memories!

Susan Will Be Remembered Forever!

Washington, Dejah Perry, and Bianca Beasley. (Aunts) and( Uncle):Betty Jenkins, Wilma Browne, and John Taylor, and a host of cousins and friends. Susan is preceded  in Death by her(Father): Donald B. Washington Sr. and her (Brother): Mark E. Washington. and Grandson Adyhi N. Washington-Halfkenny.
