Soraya Nicole Wilkins was born on May 21, 1989 in Boston, MA to Bernice Miller and Raymond Wilkins at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was raised in Roxbury & Jamaica Plain, before spending her last years in Atlanta, GA. She was the youngest of 3 siblings.
Soraya graduated from East Boston High School, and attended UMASS Boston as a Dean’s list scholar studying psychology. She worked as a mental health worker for a few years while in Boston, then found her passion for nursing and phlebotomy in Atlanta, GA where she worked at Kaiser Permanente and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Soraya was very fond of animals and she loved her cat Smokey. She loved to laugh, loved a great joke, was a girly girl, and enjoyed listening to music - specifically New Edition. She was known for her love of horror movies, shopping, travelling, poetry, and anything pink and butterflies.
She was a daddy’s girl, but loved being around her friends and family. She could come off as shy at times but it just took the right circumstances and right group of people to allow her to come out of her shell. She gave her life to Christ and partnered with her local church, Apex Everywhere on September 23, 2018 under the leadership and love of Pastors Larry & Eboney Weathers.
Soraya entered eternal rest on April 22, 2021, and leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted family; her grandmother, Addie Miller of Boston, MA; parents Bernice Miller and Raymond Wilkins of Boston, MA; her siblings Stephanie Miller, Shawna Miller, and Christopher Wilkins of Massachusetts; and her niece Jaydah Wilkins of Massachusetts; and she leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
