Sarah Fannie (Wynn) Swain

Sarah Fannie Wynn - Swain daughter of the late Myra Brewington and John Wynn was born January 6,1936 in Eatonton,GA. She was the middle child of the union. As a young child she attended the Macon Public School System. Sarah was the second oldest of three children, John Wynn (deceased) and Jessie Mae Williams. Sarah went home to heaven while resting comfortable in the the hospital in Brighton on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Sarah married John Henry Swain on April 24, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts. First of four children Louise Covil was born followed by Delois Swain-Sadler (deceased), John Swain Jr and Fabian Swain all born in Boston, Massachusetts. Sarah leaves behind a daughter-in-law Toni Swain and son-in-law Martin Sadler, grandchildren Detachia Swain, Shawn Swain, Curtis Swain, Breona Swain, Gleenwood Swain, Tamika Swain, Tayisha Swain, Tonia Swain, Nicky Swain, Martina Sadler, 24 great grand children and a host of other individuals that she raised as being a second mother to them.

Sarah was the Matriarch of the family in every sense of the word. Not only was she a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was a very hard worker retiring from Clarendon Day Care after 20+ years. You could always find Sarah either seating in the chair next to the refrigerator in the kitchen looking out the window or in her bedroom watching tv. She was a positive individual who had a kind heart and had love for those she came in contact with. Sarah loved to dance, doing a two step as well as loved to dress to impress for any occasion.

Sarahs’ words of encouragement to the Swain Family -

Even though I am not here any longer and can’t make your pain go away, I want you to know that I’m here for you through every tear that you shed and an ear to her your conversations. I know that you all will find comfort in each other and will get through this together, no matter what your relationships are with each other. Just remember, I will always LOVE you all for forever!
