“He’s Closer to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ”
Samuel O. Patrick was born to his parents, Pastor Gene Cross and the late Emma Lou Patrick (8/23/1950-2/6/1998) on November 1, 1970 in Boston, MA.
Known as “Goode” Sam, had a heart of Gold and strongly believed in the importance of a true family. While being the bigger/little brother, he became more of a father figure to his younger siblings.
We should have known that Sam was a winner! As a pre-teen, he participated in a neighborhood candy fundraiser and what do you know, he won first place in candy bar sales and was rewarded with an orange moped. Go ahead Sam!
Sam truly had a heart of gold and enjoyed a good meal and nothing better than finishing it with something sweet. He touched the lives of so many and was a joy to be around. But don’t get it twisted, that Scorpio might come out! “It is what it is” as Goode would say.

Sam eagerly returned home to share a new chapter in his life. When engaged in conversation with Sam, either by phone, letter or in person, you felt a true connection and knew Sam was listening. I’m sure Sam was not aware of how much he was loved, honored, as well as respected.
