Ruthaw "Rudy" Strickland

Ruthaw “Rudy” Strickland was born to Nellie Strickland-Hamlet and Ruthaw Chambers on December 9, 1969 in Boston, MA. Many of us called him “Rudy” and some close relative called him “Santa Claus”.  He was a wonderful person who was loved by all that knew him. Many of his friends say that “ he would give the shirt off his back for you”  Always joking and laughing.

Rudy departed this life on October 20, 2020 peacefully at Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Haverhill, MA.  He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Nellie Strickland-Hamlet, his older brother, Randy Strickland. His aunt, Delores Morant-Lampley, his cousins; Wallace Morant, Charles & Peaches Morant, Juanita Morant, William Morant, Robert Morant, Rodney Morant, Terry Morant and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of  the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell  in the house of the Lord forever
