Our beloved brother and son, Ronald Lee Cox. Born June 8, 1953. Deceased November 2, 2021. Lived in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Ronny preceded his mother, Barbara L. Cox-Beach and his brother, Keith A. Cox. He leaves behind his father, Richard Bullock, wife Jacqueline Chapman-Cox, two brothers: John and Joe; two sisters, Cheryl and Sandy. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ronny was beloved by all. He enjoys sports, basketball, being a favorite; loved playing ball with his cousins and friends. His basketball team was named the Spartans and as kids we girls formed a team called the Spartanettes. That’s how much he could shape your life. Ronny went to the Washington Irving School. Then on to Roslindale High where he graduated from, excelling in basketball, which earned him a placement at Don Bosco’s. I’ll always remember the show Ronny and the Crew did of Shaft in the Beach St. Projects. They were awesome.
Ronny was also a confidant for his brother Joe, who could go to him for anything and come away feeling better than when he went. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas, always had his can jar, hosting holidays, playing cards and singing with his friend Richard, relaxing, cooking or whatever came to his mind. His favorite saying, if he got bored or was ready to leave was, “I’m going to my space”.
