Rodney Martin, Sr., was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17 of 1963. He graduated from Dorchester High School and attended college at Acadia University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada where he majored in Sociology and was All-Canadian in collegiate basketball. He married Lisa Coombs-Martin in August of 1990. Into this union two children were born. He was the son of Mary Ella and Willie James Martin who preceded him in death. He will be known as a kind and loving son, husband, father, brother and friend.
He leaves behind his wife and two children, Lisa, his daughter Tiffany and son Rodney Jr. He also leaves behind his brother Charles and his wife Guerda, his sisters Jacqueline, Stephanie, Tammy and her family; his nephew Jamell Wright and nieces Christina and Jasmine, and a host of family and friends, with whom he shared much of his childhood and adult life.
