Patricia Ana Gooding passed peacefully on October 15, going home to Jesus and to join members of her beloved family. Patricia was born on November 15, 1939 in La Boca, Panama. She came to the US in February 1967 and lived with her aunt, Catalina Gooding, and her much loved uncle, Edward T . Gooding becoming an integral member of the family. Soon after her arrival in Boston, she began a career in the healthcare industry as a patient services representative, working most recently at the Harvard Community Health Center in Kenmore Square.
Patricia loved her family, cooking for them and the multitude of people who came for Sunday dinner each week. She was a devoted Catholic attending Mission Hill Church. In her later years, when ill health set in, Patricia received outstanding care through PACE, Upham Corners.
Patricia is survived by her cousin, Antonio E. Gooding, who was like a brother to her and his wife Julie White Gooding. She is also survived by her sister, Verna Gooding, NY; Leandro Gooding, Panama; Cyril Jones, CA; Rhett Jones, TX; Cornell Jones, Panama, as well as a myriad of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held Thursday, October 22, 2-4:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, Family and friends are welcome to visit. Capacity is limited to 20 people at any time due to Covid 19 restrictions. Remote attendance is available from 2-3:00 PM and can be accessed by visiting Patricia's obituary page at www.DavisofBoston.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Basillica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mission Hill Church on Friday, October 23, 10:00 a.m. Attendance is limited due to Covid 19 restrictions.
