Nadine Garrison Obituary

Nadine Annette Garrison was born on August 29, 1953, in Boston, MA gained eternal peace on Friday June 17, 2022, from Renal Kidney Failure at Boston Medical Center at 9:03am. She was greeted at Heaven's Gate by her mother, Gloria Annette Garrison; her father, Simmion Roberts; her sister, Denyse Garrison; her aunt, Tabor Quintis and her nephew, Dorrian Garrison.

She was raised in Columbia Point and later moved to Washington Street and then settled to Columbia Road. Nadine was also known as NaNa and Nada-Woo growing up. The sisters were raised extremely close. So close that their mother would dress Nadine and Marie “Pookie” like twins and would force them to take the spoiled baby sister Kimberly wherever they went and if anything happened Kimberly would come back and tell “EVERYTHING” and get them in trouble.

Nadine was a prime example of perseverance and hard work. She attended and graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School. After graduation Nadine worked in various roles in Customer Service to provide for her daughter. She loved talking and meeting new people. She worked at the Carousel Lounge, the Sportsman Bar, the Boston Herald, and Downtown AMC Movie Theater, which she retired in 2008.

Nadine was a member of St. John and St. Hugh’s Catholic Church at 517 Blue Hill Avenue, Roxbury MA. Although she was catholic, she never shied away from opening her mind and heart to other religions.

In her leisure time, Nadine enjoyed Karaoke (at the house), John “Chiefey” and Nadine loved Bruce Lee & Korean Movies, K-Pop, She loved her animals, eating baked Mac N Cheese (made by Allyson "Alley Kat" Perry and/or Angie "Mother Love" Horton), Double Dipped Chicken, she had to have Mince Pie (EVERY holiday) and John's spaghetti.

Nadine LOVED being silly and loved to bring that silliness and fun to her family & friends even till the end and that's what she will be remembered for.

Most of all she had the most beautiful special relationship with her daughter Nycole. They were not only mother and daughter they were best friends. Nycole spent every day caring for her mother and making sure she was receiving the best care she could get until the very end. Nadine also loved and felt protective by Floyd. She always said he was the son she never had. The bond those two shared were unmatched.

She leaves to cherish her memory and to celebrate her legacy; Ronald Ramsure; her daughter Nycole Michelle Gloria Garrison (Floyd Utley), her sister Marie "Pookie aka The Twin" Garrison (Bill Brown); her baby sister Kimberly "Kimmy" Garrison (Roland Reed), her step-sister Aquila Manna, her step-daughter Lori Kia Carter; her fury son Dilly Dorrian Garrison (the cat); her grandsons Ronnie & Da'Shawn; her granddaughter Shyla; her fury grandsons Taz & Tye Garrison (the dogs); a host of Niece, Nephews, Cousins and friends.

Nadine was truly treasured and loved by many. She fought the good fight; she finished the course, and she kept the faith. Thank you, God, for allowing us to have known and love your Angel.
