Maude Evelyn Guess was born September 15, 1924 to George William and Willie Leola Guess in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was the eldest of nine children and graduated from Central High School and, also attended Municipal College, both in Louisville.
In 1947 Maude moved to Boston and later New York for better job opportunities. She finally returned to Boston which became her eventual home.
She was a Commercial Insurance Rater, most notably with Reliance Insurance Company. She continued working in the insurance industry until her low-vision necessitated an early retirement. She was legally blind.
Maude was a faithful member of St. Mark Congregational Church. She enjoyed clipping recipes and listening to Yankee Kitchen which led to many wonderful dishes. She also sewed and was very knowledgeable with everyday and world events listening to many news sources. She knew a lot about everything and was faithful with her Scripture.
She is survived by her only son, Ronald Carey Baker, two Sisters and four Brothers most in Louisville, Kentucky.
She will be Greatly Missed . . .
