Leslie B. Thompson was born in Boston, MA. on January 24, 1925 the son of the late Oswald C. Thompson and Marjorie Clarke-Thompson.
He was educated in the Boston School System and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and attended Howard University. He was married to the late Georgia Washington-Thompson. They had two children Stephen B. Thompson and Leesa Thompson-Hammond.
Years later Leslie met and married Jenny D. Thompson, both preceded Leslie in death.
Leslie served in the United States Air Force during WW2 and received an Honorable Discharge on January 13, 1946. Leslie was employed by the Department of Treasury U.S. Customs Service for 40 years until he retired in 1988.
Leslie was a faithful servant of St. Marks Congregational Church.
Leslie is preceded in death by his brother Clinton Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter: Leesa Hammond with her husband: Ricky; and son: Stephen B. Thompson, all of Los Angeles, California; loving companion: Wilhelmina J. Goss and her son: R.A. Frederick; nieces: Valda Diane Thompson of Harlem, NY, Marjorie “Sherry” Thompson-Peterson, Karen Thompson, and Anita Roberts-Raynor and her husband: George; special family friends: Bertrand Samuel and his family, Dinisha Brown and her family, along with other cousins, nieces, and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
