Leon Tate

Leon Tate (also known as Bundy) was born in Boston, MA on May 11, 1954. He was born to Ernest Gamble Jr. of Alabama and Lillie Mae Gamble of South Carolina. During his life, Leon met and married Taunia Smith in Massachusetts and they raised eight beautiful children throughout their 44 year relationship. Sadly, Leon surrendered to God on June 2, 2022 after a brief stint with cancer.

He was preceded by his parents Ernest Gamble Jr. and Lille Mae Gamble as well as his siblings Roy Tate, James Tate and Cecilia Gamble. He leaves to mourn his eight children: Launia L. Smith, LT Smith, Kenneth E. Gamble, Rhonda L. Gamble, Justa T. Smith, Austin C. Tate, Candi K. Tate and Maurice V. Tate. He will also leave to mourn his siblings: Clyde Tate Jr, Pauline Lewis, Ralphie Tate, Michael Tate, Marvin Tate, Ernestine Smith and Rhonda Wolfe and a host of extended family and friends.

Leon was a man who cared very deeply for those that he loved and he will be greatly missed. He is watching over all of us and will forever be in our hearts and memories.
