Learal R. Dennis

Learal Dennis also known as “Roy or Sherwood”.  The first son was born in Burnt Savannah St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to the late Leslie and Leulyn Dennis on June 30, 1952.

Learal was educated in the Jamaica school system.  He traveled to the United States and Canada on the farm working program for many years before he settled in Boston in.  He worked at Boston University for 15 years as a custodian.

Learal’s favorite pastime was farming, gardening, and dancing.  During the course of his later years Learal developed a strong and steadfast faith in God.  On the morning of May 28th, 2022 Learal woke up to begin his day as usual and suddenly his golden heart paused and God called him to eternal rest with him.

He is survived by his children Autherine, Kenesia and Otis Dennis.  Five grandchildren and 1 great-grandaughter.  He is also survived by his 4 sisters - Rhona, Delores, Pauline and Jennifer Dennis.  5 brothers – Lance, Roland, Raymond, Paul and Basil Dennis.  Kathleen Dixon devoted friend and caretaker, cousins, nieces, nephews, numerous family members and friends near and far. 

We will MISS you greatly but hope to see you soon.
