Lance Marquis Austin-Tucker was born March 31, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended the Chittack Elementary school, Rogers Middle school and Brookline High school. He was extremely active in sports and excelled in Basketball. His father; Lance Tucker was not only his coach, he was his mentor and idol. He taught him all of the fundamentals of the game of basketball and always challenged him to a game of one one one. Due to Coach Tucker’s teachings, he was granted the opportunity to attend Florida Memorial College on a basketball scholarship.m under Coach Bernard Johnson. Coach Johnson was a pivotal part of Mark’s journey, as he became one of the best point guards for the Florida Memorial Lions. After his team won, he sent his opponents ice packs and ankle braces. His strength, fearlessness, dedication and passion for the game contributed to the man he became.
Upon graduating, Mark remained in Miami Florida where he began his professional career in Sales and Marketing. Upon returning to Boston recently, he met the love of his life and twin flame; Jazmin Steele. They recently celebrated their engagement in front of their loved ones on Christmas Day.
Mark was outgoing, caring, loving and always the life of the party! His kindness and smile was contagious as he touched everyone he met. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family in order to create sacred memories. His sense of humor and ability to touch everyone’s heart with laughter and affection was always genuine. Mark was a son, brother, nephew, uncle, friend and most of all, a King.
