Kimberley E. Ervin transitioned at the age of 56 in the comfort of her home in Dorchester on May 27, 2020. She was born March 7th, 1964 in Boston Massachusetts to the late Ellen A. Ervin and Westmoreland Taylor. She grew up in Warren Gardens in Roxbury MA with her older siblings Barbara Baron, Gloria Ervin, James “Precious” Taylor and Keith Taylor. Kimberley attended English High School, Newbury College and attended Roxbury Community College and obtained a degree in Child Care, Business Management and studied Psychology.
Family meant everything to Kimberley, and it was always important to her to keep family together by coordinating cook outs, parties, and other family functions. Kimberley married Kenneth Wrencher and is survived by her four children Jason L. Ervin, Christopher M. Richardson, Kennysha R. Wrencher, and Tayla G. Wrencher, as well as her two stepdaughters Kiarra Blair and Kellyn K. Wrencher. Kimberley also has twelve beautiful grandchildren who she holds very close to her heart Jabari Brewer-Richardson, Katherine “Rose” Ervin, Alani Wrencher, Christopher “CJ” Richardson Jr., Aaliyah Faith Ervin, Jai’lyn Coffman, Columbus Johnson, Tonae Richardson, and Jason Ervin Jr. as well as her three bonus grandchildren Gizelle McBride, Aria Blair and Zachary Hunter . She was also supported by her Son in Law Eric Johnson.
Outside of Security and office administrative work which she loved, Kimberley started her very own business KimmyPooh Creations where love and family inspired a lot of her creativity for gift baskets, party favors, custom apparel and more. Kimberley also enjoyed Dancing, Music, Karaoke, Crossword Puzzles, Writing Poetry and Journaling. Any way that Kimberley could express herself she indulged into and made it her own. Kimberley participated in a lot of community events through neighborhood churches in Dorchester and was an active and proud member of Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) in Jamaica Plain.
Outside of immediate family Kimberley embraced and loved everyone and had a solid tribe of extended family and friends who she held very near and dear to her heart. She had the kind of energy and spirit that made anyone embrace her in open arms. Her smile was contagious, and her laugh always brought joy.
Kimberley asked that her life be celebrated. Cry if you need to but do not forget to laugh, smile and rejoice over the good times and amazing memories that were created.
