John Henry Patterson Jr.,74, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Faulkner Hospital.
John Henry Patterson Jr. was born on March 23,1946 to his parents Mattie and John Henry Patterson Sr. He was survived by Dollien Williams Patterson, who he remarried on November 24, 2012.
John Henry Patterson Jr. is preceded in death by his father, John Henry Patterson Sr, his mother Mattie Patterson, two brothers Gregory Lynn Patterson and Julius Devon Patterson.
To Cherish his memory and carry on his legacy, he leaves behind 9 Children: Julianne (James) Paige, who was given by Dollien Patterson. Kenneth O. (Ana) Patterson, Bonita (Anthony) Pina, Lawrence M. (Bethany) Patterson, Jabari S. (Naomi) Patterson, who was given by Thelma Collins. Deanna Rudolph, who was given by Carolyn M. Rudolph. Renee Patterson, who was given by Marvina Patterson, and Johnathan Patterson, who was given by Brenda Patterson, and a devoted God son Roman (Petey) Lomax. 2 surviving sisters: Muriel Hayes and Alberta Jones. 5 surviving brothers: Donald, Timothy, Wayne, Dewayne, and James Patterson. 18 Beloved grandchildren: Cameron Patterson, Quincy Patterson, Justus Patterson, Jagger Patterson, Blake Patterson, Isiah (Vivian) Pina, Ishara Pina, Imari Pina, Tyrus Woods, Indya Woods, Isis Woods, Tahj Rudolph, Tieb Cyrus, Datoine Murray, Ashanti El-Amin, Ajonni El-Amin, Amani El-Amin, and Adriano El-Amin. 1 Great Grandson: Kaden Jackson, and A host of Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
He attended High School in Miller Ferry, Alabama. After graduation, he served his country through his enlistment in the Air force as a firefighter, as a decorated veteran he was bestowed with an honorable discharge medal. As a man determined not to work for someone else, he became an entrepreneur, and owned many businesses, and enjoyed serving God as a deacon at Waymark Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dorchester, Mass.
