Jerry Green, born November 20, 1962 in Boston, MA, to the late YC Green and Vernita Bell Marbury, passed away at his home in Boston, MA, accompanied by his son Jerry Malik Green. Jerry was born into a large family of 13 siblings, and grew up in Swansea, MA, where he also graduated from Joseph Case High School. He then attended Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA, before going on to the United States Army National Guard in 1983. Upon concluding his service and in pursuit of exciting new work, he moved to Boston, MA, where he met his partner Tonya Holmes.
The two married on February 15, 1992. Although eventually divorcing after 19 years, they became loving parents to six children, including: son Marcus (Kimberly) Holmes of Boston, daughters Janae Green, Janelle Holmes-Green, Javonna Green of Georgia; Jibria Green and son Jerry Malik Green of Boston. Jerry had a long career in telecommunications.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers: Willie James, Freddy, Stephen and Stanley Green.
He is survived by a host of relatives, including grandchildren and other extended family. He leaves behind brothers: Kenny, John, Anderson, Ralph, Daryl, and sisters: Baile, Jackie, Diane, and Darlene of the Green Family.
