James Grant

James D. Grant was born June 15th, 1946 at 1pm in Charleston, South Carolina. Son of the late Presiding Elder Samuel Grant Sr. and Mother Julia (Simmons) Grant.

James grew up in Dividing Creek, New Jersey, where he attend school. In 1968 to 1972 was enlisted in the military during the Vietnam War.  After his return home, he made his home in Vineland, N.J.

One of James great joy was fishing.  Also spending time with family. If it was broken he’ll fix. 

James is survived by his two sisters Mary (Grant) Lane, Vera (Grant) Tasker both of Vineland, NJ.  Brother Samuel Grant Jr. of Boston, Mass. 2 Sister in-laws Matilda (Alexander) Grant of Vineland, N.J. and Roberta (Jordan) Grant of Boston, Ma. A host of nieces and nephews, both grand and great grand.

Predeceased by Sister Hamutal, Eartha Lee Grant, Phoebe Leedoris (Grant) Riley, Brothers Joseph Grant, and Nehemiah Grant.
