Gary Wendell Freeman was born July 21,1965 in Macon County, GA. Gary moved with his family from Georgia to Boston when he was five-years-old. He attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from METCO. He had a strong work ethic and was extremely hardworking, working two jobs, a warehouse associate at Sky Chefs for Over 20 years and as a Maintenance worker at Youville for more than 15 years. In Gary’s free time he enjoyed relaxing at home with fresh scented candles lit, watching movies and listening to hip hop music, spending time with his family, cooking delicious meals, watching the Patriots and spending time at the beach. Gary resided in Quincy, MA. Prior to relocating to Quincy, he lived in Cambridge with our Aunt Robin Downing for more than 11 years. Gary epitomized love and kindness, a true gentle giant with a warm and inviting smile.
Gary is predeceased in death by his father William James Freeman (Willie), and his daughter Jasmine Freeman. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved mother Daisey Taylor, his brothers: Antonio Taylor, Darryl Taylor and Harrell Taylor, his children: Tiarra Freeman Taylor, son in law Leonard Taylor and youngest Jessica Freeman (Jasmine’s twin sister), His nephew Antoine Taylor, the mother of his children, Natalie Hinds, Godson, whom he helped raise, Antonio Downing, his close friend and the mother of his Godson, Serina Tate, and a host of extended family, friends and coworkers. Gary was surrounded by love throughout his life and will be forever held in our hearts. He will be remembered most for the way he loved those around him.
