Eric Jerome Nesmith

On July 31st of 2020, Eric Jerome Nesmith, lost his battle with cancer at age 57.

Eric Jerome (Romie) Nesmith was born March 30th,1963 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Ben and Mary Nesmith. Eric was raised in Boston MA, where he attended Boston public schools. After graduating from Boston English High School, Eric worked various jobs before landing a job with Boston Edison Electric Co. (Eversource); he dedicated the last 35 years of his life as a splicer, underground lineman. Eric's passion for working with Eversource was undeniable! He loved his job! Eric was always known as "the life of the party". He had a crazy sense of humor and that's what everybody loved about him. You were guaranteed to have a few good laughs with him. Aside from working, Eric's other passions were cooking (especially "the pig in the box") at the cookouts for Father's Day, spending the weekends hanging out with the kids and grandkids, vacationing with his wife and sisters, hosting family and friends from out of town, gathering for Thanksgiving or Christmas, playing poker with the fellas or whatever the occasion would be, all were welcomed. Eric was an AMAZING father, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all who knew him. He had an infectious way about him, you couldn't help but love him. Eric was kind beyond words and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  His presence will be dearly and deeply missed.

Eric leaves, to cherish his memories, his loving wife Kymberley Key-Nesmith of Randolph, Ma., three children; Kaprice Marshall (Chris) of Brockton, Ma., Brittney Small of Middleboro Ma., Eric Nesmith of Boston, Ma., two step-sons, Jeffery -Key Allston, Andre Key of Randolph, Ma.; six grandchildren, Saneiya, Christopher, Amari, Christian, Fallon and Cecily;  four sisters - Sylvia Stuart (Paul) of Joppa, MD, Cheryl Beasley (Frederick) of Joppa, MD., Mattie Nesmith of Charleston SC and  Karla Moses of Baltimore, MD; one brother Roger Harvey of Costa Rica; five nephews, Ricky, Keon, Derrick, Paul Jr. and Rashaad; three nieces, Karee, Makensey and Michele; four great nephews, one great niece; stepmother Cecile Nesmith, Mother in Law Paula Key, special aunt Orie Ann Hammond, Catherine Small and Wanda Ridley.  He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
