Emma Ruth (Tellies) White was born September 10, 1947, to late Sam and Bobbie Lee Tellies in Belle Glade Florida. Emma lived in a small town called Canastota, NY till she was 18 years of age, when she left and joined the job corps, where she worked for over 40 years, till she retired. Emma was a hard and dedicated worker, wife, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. Dedicated to friends, family, and her church; New Faith Baptist Missionary Church where she was on the Mother’s Boards and Missionary Board for many years.
Emma was a dedicated friend to many people; she loved and took on as her dearest friends. One who she loved predeceased her on Sunday evening at 5pm was her Reverend Robert Washington (Hattie). Amongst others that predeceased her was her husband James C. White, her mother and father, Sam, and Bobbie Lee Tellies, an older sister Bobbie Jean Duncan (Joseph) of Valdosta GA, her loving grandson James Jr. of Boston MA. Emma was well loved in and out of the church, leaving behind, but not forever… A loving daughter Annie Ruth Tellies (David) of Canastota, NY, her stepson James Schofield of Boston, MA, her grandsons; Shaun Tellies, Lloyd Colton, and David Tellies, a host of grandkids, a loving sister Annie Nell Harvey (Jimmy) of Syracuse NY, her niece Nicole Harvey and nephew Richard Stewart of Syracuse NY, and a host of great nieces and nephews as well as dear friends.
