David L. Corbin (Smith) passed away on June 16, 2021 at the age of 72 at the Marion Manor Nursing Home in Boston after a brief illness.
David Lewis Corbin was born on March 8, 1949 in Hampton Virginia to Lucille C. Smith and Thomas J. Smith. David’s parents brought the family to Boston when he was a young age. David attended schools in the Boston Public Schools system. After high school he worked for the City of Boston. In 1976 he attended the police academy and became a police officer. He served on the police force for several years. David also proudly served in the United States National Guard. David was also a Mason at Prince Hall in Boston. He was also an Exalted Ruler at the Elks Club.
David is preceded in death by his mother and father Lucille C and Thomas J. Smith as well as his granddaughter Ayana N. Quinnie and his second wife Laura B. Smith.
David is survived by his three children, David L. Smith Jr., Ann-Marie Quinnie and Jasyn C. Smith. His grandchildren Yuri J. Quinnie II and Jada N. Smith. His first wife, Zinny A. Smith. His brother Robert L Smith and wife Rachel, nephew Kenneth V. Davis (Kara) and niece Tracy A. Payne (Charles) of Texas. His sister Karen Lewis (Harrison) and two children of New York. His aunts Carrie Hull-Chandler of Lewiston, Maine and Francis Fitts (Ronald) of Boston. He is also survived by a loving host of cousins and friends.
