Cynthia Denise Wilson was born on June 20, 1960 in Boston, MA to Maella Wilson Walden and William Dix. Cynthia left all her infirmities behind and passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brookline, MA.
Cynthia’s laughter was contagious and she was known to light up a room with her presence. She was very interactive socially, and she chose to live her life unapologetically on her own terms.
Cynthia was a caring person and loved her family dearly. She received her primary education in the Fayette elementary school system, Fayette, AL and a portion of her primary education was done in Memphis, Tennessee. She relocated to Boston, Massachusetts and completed her secondary education at Jeremiah E. Burke high school. Cynthia attended St. James CME church of Fayette, AL with her extended family. She thoroughly enjoyed preparing meals and her most favorite dish of indulgence was shrimp scampi.
Cynthia was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker, her duties centered around food preparation and presentation. Cynthia enjoyed singing and she would lift her melodious voice at every available opportunity.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved brothers Billy and Charles Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Adreka Wilson. Grandsons Bruce Maiben and Malick Horacious.. One very special maternal aunt Nealie Wilson Dunkley of Fayette, AL. cousins Linda Wilson of Fayette, AL and Brian (Sonja) Wilson of Huntsville, AL. She is also survived by her paternal aunt Mary and loving host of other relatives and special lifelong friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the extra special efforts of Cousins Monique (Samuel) Francis and Donna Wilson Stadmire of Tuscaloosa, AL and two of her devoted friends Kathy Cox and Vicky Crowell.
