Christopher Montgomery was born August 23, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the first-born son of Christopher C. Montgomery and Frances Smith.
After graduation from Northeastern University and Anna Maria College he found his passion working with youth. He joined and worked with the Department of Youth Services (DYS) as a Program Director and trainer for several years before moving into a Director role in the New York Juvenile System.
His hard work and dedication while working with youth, gartered several recognitions including the Horizon of Hope award and several performance recognitions that were signed by
Governor Mitt Romney. From 2009-2011 he served as the Cultural Competence Committee Chair for the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps.
Christopher met his wife, Doris Montgomery in 1978 and they were married 1983. Through this union they had three children Christopher, Stephen and Rebecca. Two granddaughters, Dior Montgomery and Leila Jette, as well as four grandsons CJ, Steve, Peyton and Tristan. He is survived by his two siblings Eric and Helena Montgomery as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Christopher was a very passionate man and made the decision to become a Christian when he was 30 years old and was a member of the Church of Christ in Milton.
Although God and family were the two most important things in his life, he also loved fishing, archery and working with youth.
Chis was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family, his church family, and his friends.
