Obituary

Brian E. Walker was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 15, 1966 to Bernice Sutton and Edwin “Eddie” Morales. After Eddie’s death and Bernice's marriage, Brian was adopted by her husband, Rodney Walker. The couple lovingly raised Brian, who eventually became big brother in the Walker family to two adoring younger sisters, Joyce and Angela.

Brian attended elementary and middle school in Belmont Public Schools as a METCO student and attended high school in Boston Public Schools. Later, Brian earned his General Educational Development (GED) certification. He worked in the hospitality and contract industries. Most recently, he was a foreman at Brothers Fencing where he worked for many years.

On May 6, 2023, after many years of quietly contending with pancreatic cancer, Brian departed this life.

Blessed with a brilliant mind, Brian could hold court and delight his captive audience with his gift for telling fantastical stories. He loved to cook and eat good food, a palate that was developed by his beloved mother’s culinary skills. Spending time with his family was near and dear to Brian’s heart. He was an avid Boston sports fan and also enjoyed all kinds of music, as well as the peace and relaxation of fishing. He was known by family and friends for his signature Adidas footwear and apparel.

Brian, fondly known as “B,” easily befriended everyone he met. The path of least resistance was not always his choice and he never complained, despite his life circumstances. Even through his recent illness, he chose not to reveal the extent of his suffering.

Brian E. Walker was preceded in death by his son, Elijah Bowermaster. Remaining to cherish a treasure trove of memories are Brian’s children: Kurstyn Bowermaster, Brianna McKinley, Skyla Bowermaster, and Olivia Adamson; and godchild, Kylie Siriani; his grandchildren: Deshawn Carlino, Raya Rais, Kordiel Carty, and Daisy Rais; his siblings: David Medina, Edwin Medina, Joyce Highhouse, and Angela Hyman; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
