Arthur L. Cain, born to the union of the late Hiawatha Cain and the late Helen Lark Cain on March 6, 1939 in Fayette County, Alabama.
Arthur received his education in Alabama and graduated from the Fayette County Training School. He then moved to Boston Massachusetts where he attended and received his trade degree from The Boston Men’s Trade school. Arthur then began his work career working at Pine State By-Products meat distribution Company. While working as a meat packer and cutter, he attended truck driving school and began driving trucks to deliver meats.
Arthur gave his life to the Lord and faithfully attended The New Fellowship Baptist Church in Dorchester, and in 2003 he was anointed a Deacon. Arthur joined the most worshipful George Washington Carver Lodge in 1967. He became a member of the John
G. Jones Lodge #8 and received his Royal Arch, Shriners, Knight of Temple and was at the consistory 32 degree Masonry.
Arthur enjoyed spending this free time with friends of the community garden growing lots of vegetables. He also enjoyed deep water fishing, which he often share his catches with family and friends. Along with gardening, he spent many years volunteering his time at The Boston Food Bank delivering food to shelters and to the sick and elderly in the community.
Arthur was married to Brenda Cain (Reddick) from 1958 -1979. He later married Rachel Cain who preceded him in death.
Arthur leaves to mourn his life, his sister Sarah Hairston, Atlanta GA, daughters, Cartrenia Cain-Simon (William B Simon), Boston, MA, Wanda Cain-Minsy (Fereando Minsy), Boston, MA and Rommie Cain Aziz (Tarif Abdul Aziz) of Boston, MA. 14 grandchildren; Kisha Cain, Charice Cain, William Simon Jr., Sylvia Accime, Fereando Minsy Jr., Raychelle Taylor, Antwoine Jackson, DaShawn Cain, Kenyetta Lattimore, Tasha Cannon, Joseph Darden, Brianna Aziz, Daniehsa Aziz, Na’lmah Aziz and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is pre-deceased by son, Arthur L. Cain Jr. (Sherry Cain) Atlanta GA, and daughter, Sandra D. Cain, Boston, MA.
