On October 11, 2020 Amber Marie Walker, a fun, loving, caring Mother, Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Cousin, and Friend was called by the Lord to her final resting place.
Amber, affectionately known as TT to her family was born in Washington, D.C. on April 28, 1977. She was the youngest daughter of Linda and Joseph Hamilton. As the youngest of five sisters, she often felt that she had 5 mothers. She attended Massachusetts public schools and completed her secondary education at Fenway High School at Bunker Hill Community College and earned both a High School Diploma and an Associate Degree. In 2005 she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Biotechnology from Northeastern University. After graduation she accepted a position at Harvard Research with responsibility for providing research results to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the FDA and the CDC.
We were all surprised and proud of her pursuit of a Science degree because of her talents with food, fashion and interior design! When the girls were young, they always received cash as part of their Christmas gifts always resulting in a fun trip to the shopping mall. Her sisters came home with sunglasses, music, and food. Amber would visit every clothing store in the mall looking around. Then she would go back and buy the things she wanted. Needless to say, she came home with clothes shoes and accessories. She had a style that was all her own and what would seem outlandish on the rack, TT carried off with swag and verve…she was our Ultra-Diva! Amber was also a talented cook who often spoke of opening her own restaurant. She had a repertoire of mouth-watering dishes. Family and friends alike had favorite TT dishes and asked for them at every event. We all loved visiting her apartment – the décor changed with her mood, (and budget). Anyone else remember the red wall with gold sponge paint at her Mission Hill apartment, or the blue, green and purple paint stenciled on her white wall? Amber also was passionate about her family’s history and crafts. She would call Auntie Gena out of the blue with questions about the Family Tree, or how to make…something!
On December 15, 2010 Amber’s son and only child, Tristan Asereth was born prematurely. On January 5, 2011 his mother held him until he was embraced by God. Amber carried Tristan in her heart every day until they were reunited on October 11, 2020.
The memory of Amber’s infectious smile and spunky personality will be cherished by everyone who knew her. She leaves to celebrate her life her Parents, Linda and Joseph Hamilton and Stepfather Dennis Phillips, Sisters Cecelia, Nichole, Lynette and Stacey, her Brothers Joseph, Kevin and Russell. Also mourning her are three aunts, three uncles, thirteen nieces and nephews, three great-nephews, one great-niece and a gazillion cousins and friends. We will miss seeing her big wide wonderful smile and her infectious laugh, but we who loved her will carry them in our hearts forever.
We rejoice in the Glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
