Althea G. Mitchell 96 of Hyde Park passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 12, 2020. Devoted mother of Josephine Mitchell, Laurence Mitchell of Brooklyn, NY and Danna Caliz. Beloved grandmother of twelve including Judith, Derrick Jr, Orville Alex, Brian, Amada, Jenelle and Jerrod. Great grandmother of Simone, Caleb, Arthur Jerod, Khloe, Alexandria, Bryceson and Arya. She is also survived by a sister Judith of Toronto, Canada, special niece Edna Mitchell and several other nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Due to restrictions and the safety concern for everyone as a result of Covid 19, funeral service will be private on March 21, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
