Alonzo “Lonnie” Carter, born on December 10, 1962 to the late Alvin Carter and Dorothy P. Carter-Hull of Boston, MA. In 2006, he married his beloved wife Della.
Lonnie attended Madison Park High School, where he competed on the swimming team. Lonnie was very creative, he loved painting and drawing. He was very detailed in his painting, drawing and attire. He also loved to look nice and smell good.
Lonnie was a self-employed painter and contractor who took pride in his work. He was hired by family and friends to paint their homes internally and externally, renovate apartments and lay floors.
On Friday, February 12, 2021, in the presence of his beloved wife Della and his “baby sister” Darling, our Lord God called out Lonnie’s name and Lonnie answered; “Yes Lord.” Lonnie always had a kind and sweet spirit which was always felt whenever you were in his presence. He always offered encouraging words. Life will not be the same; there will be an emptiness without him. Lonnie’s smile, thoughtfulness, kindness, and his distinctive whistle will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his stepson Edward and his father Alvin Carter.
Lonnie leaves to cherish loving memories to his beloved wife Della of Boston, MA, his son Paris Carter of Boston, MA, his step-children Jannelle, Andre, Jaquelle and Chris all of Boston, MA; his grandchildren, Ly’asia, Asia’ly, Kiera, Naya, Jaylen, Jerome, Jayla, Edward, Jordan, Jayson and Bella; his mother Dorothy Carter-Hull of Boston, MA; his stepfather Carl Hull of Queens, NY; his siblings Alvin Carter, Jr. of Boston, MA, Dorothy Scott (Thomas) of Rialto, CA, Dollicia Carter, Darling Carter, Algene Carter and Brian Hull all of Boston, MA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
