Virginia Ann Black, the daughter of the late Viola Webster and John Black, was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 30, 1944. She was called home on May 24, 2025. She was educated in the Duval County School System in Jacksonville, FL. She was baptized at an early age at St. James Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. As a child, Virginia was playful, quiet ,shy, and always smiling.
After coming to Massachusetts in 1963, she worked for several companies. She spent time with family and friends. She loved her three sons and life. She also, loved caring for her house plants.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a son, Rodney Black, Sisters: Mary Ford, Dorothy Clarke, Annie Doris Solomon, and Marion Mitchell, and Brothers: Perry Holmes, Jr., John Black, and Tyrone Douglass, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Larry 'Bernard' Black (Stephanie) of Goodyear, AZ and Darek Black (Nicole) of Atlanta, GA; Brother: David Blacksherer of Peekskill, NY, and sisters: Joyce Hester (Willie, Sr.) of Durham, NC; and Gloria Daniels (Larry) of MacClenny, FL. and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces/nephews, cousins, sister-in-law, and special friends.
