Obituary

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Trentis L. Marvel, a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, veteran, and devoted member of his community. Trentis was born in Boston Massachusetts to Rene Brown of Boston MA and the late Jeffrey Marvel of Riverside CA. From an early age Trentis developed the strength, loyalty, and love for others that would remain a part of who he was throughout life. Trentis was educated in Boston and graduated from Dorchester High School. Following high school, he answered his call to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps followed by the Army Reserve. His willingness to serve reflected the courage, discipline, and dedication that his family and friends knew so well. Trentis was a man of many talents who was never afraid to explore his passions. His love for food and cooking led him to obtain a culinary certification in the Army Reserves and Le Cordon Bleu, pursuing his talents as a chef. He later continued expanding his skills through Massage Envy, adding another chapter to his life filled with different interests, talents, and experiences beyond his professional accomplishments, Trentis remained connected to the people and community around him. He was a dedicated member of the Sound Inc. crew, a community that became an important part of his life. Trentis valued friendship, loyalty, and being there for the people he loved. In 2014, Trentis moved to Maine, beginning a new chapter of his life. He became a devoted member of the fast- food industry, where his work ethic and outgoing personality allowed him to make a difference with coworkers, and people throughout the community. Trentis was known for being Fiercely protective of the people he loved. Beneath that protective nature was a caring heart, a sense of humor, and a charming personality that filled a room. He knew how to make people laugh and was never afraid to be himself. One of the most meaningful examples of Trentis’ love for family was his willingness to step up as a father figure to our cousins’ children. He chose to be present in their lives, offering love, guidance, support and protection. For Trentis, family was about more than titles or biology it was about showing up. The role he embraced spoke volumes about the kind of heart he had and will forever remain an important part of his legacy. Trentis had a great love for animals, as he had many. Above everything else, family meant so much to Trentis. His life was not measured simply by the years he lived, but by the people he loved, the lives touched, the laughter created and the family that will forever carry a piece of him with them. Trentis leaves to cherish his Memory his loving Mother, Rene Brown Pearson (Derek Pearson), Siblings: Myisha Bell (Lorenzo Mathis), Michael Bell, Markesha Herd, Taylor Herd, and Leila Marvel-Hall (Luis Hall) Grandparents: Bette Hinton, Ronald (Michelle) Hinton. Godparents: Kim Dupree, Late Markie Singletary. Nieces: Me’leah, Malaysia, Maria, Simone, Aniya, Za’maya, Ayurri. Nephews: Semaj, Lorenzo Jr., Bradley, Melvin, Thomas Jr., Cairo, Ah’mir, Myraikel, Bonus Kids: Daria, Darian, Grace and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, friends and loved ones.
