Theodora Green, beloved mother, grandmother, missionary, and evangelist, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, with her sons by her side. Theodora or "Teddy", as many of her friends knew her, was the youngest of three children born to Theodore and Priscilla Green of South Carolina.
Theodora was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Brighton High School. She went on to receive an associate's degree from Grahm Jr. College. She later pursued a career in healthcare and became a licensed practical nurse. Theodora then chose to complete her education by attending Curry College and received her Bachelor of Arts in Management and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse and professional legal nurse consultant throughout the Suffolk and Middlesex areas.
As a child, Theodora attended Charles St. AME Church and later joined United Emmanuel Holiness Church where she was ordained a Missionary. As part of her service and faith, Theodora did outreach in the Prison Ministry, participated as a member of the Trustee Board, and mentored and guided children as Sunday School Superintendent.
Theodora would later join Community Revival & Outreach Ministries, Inc. where she became an ordained Evangelist. Her labor of love and service to Christ expanded to take on many roles in the Church which included the Communion Arts, Sunday School Superintendent, Church Historian, Feast Committee member and as a member of the Board of Directors. Her outreach included an Aids Ministry, the L.I. Boys Detainment Center, and Anne's and Burgoyne's rest homes.
Theodora leaves behind two sons, Dudley Green of Hudson, MA and Theodore Green II of Cary, NC, their wives, Ebony Green of Hudson, MA, and Shana Green of Cary, NC, her sister, Jonnamae DeVane of Mattapan and her mother, Priscilla Green of Dorchester. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Rayna Green, Sara Green, Amana Green, Christopher Green, and Elsie Green, three nephews, William DeVane, Garland DeVane, and Theodore DeVane, as well as her grandniece Gisele Francois DeVane, friends, colleagues, and her brothers and sisters in Christ.
