Terence Dave, born on January 26, 1955, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late George Washington Owens of Virginia and Leola Dave of Texas, exemplified the true spirit of a Bostonian. Terry's passions ran deep; he was a devoted fan of the Pats, whether in-season or off-season, and you could always find him cheering for the C's and the Sox whenever they played. A fervent music enthusiast, Terry's love for Parliament Funkadelic, and Sunday gospel music was unmistakable, announcing his presence long before you saw him. Terry had an unmatched sense of style, effortlessly sporting coordinated, monochromatic outfits from his hat to his shoes daily. Punctuality was his hallmark, because if you were on time, you are late. His extensive watch collection ensured he was never late.

In 1987, Terry discovered his calling when he became a counselor at Pine Street Inn. His care and deep compassion touched the lives of Boston's homeless and formerly incarcerated residents. Terry firmly believed that no one person is superior to another, and he treated everyone with respect. Throughout his 36-year career, Terry often encountered former residents of the "Inn" who thanked him for believing in them and showing them that their past should not define their future.

Terry's mission and faith grew stronger when he joined the Boston Church of Christ a few short years later. There, he found the community he had longed for, and with God's guidance, he became the man he aspired to be. Being a Disciple, of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ brought immense joy to Terry's life, and he cherished the bond with his brothers and sisters in Christ. He found fulfillment as a teacher in the kid's kingdom, nurturing the faith of the children. After church, he relished Sundays spent watching football and playing cards and dominos with family.

Above all, Terry was an exceptional father. He leaves behind a legacy survived by his daughters, Francesca Milles-Dave and Renice Dave (Leonard Lee), sons, Andre and Seth Pina, and grandchildren Gennivicia and Jayla Lee. He is also survived by his sister, Christine Dave, brother Anthony Dave, Nephews Issac Dave and Anthony Fulgham and great-nieces Scianca and Shawanda Dave, and a host of cousins. Terry's spiritual brothers, Rudy LeMar and Frank Hines, share in the cherished memories of his life.

Terence Dave was a man of unwavering faith, and boundless love and encouragement. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege to know and love him.
