Obituary

On September 6, 2025, Tenile Chere Pritchard peacefully entered her eternal rest, surrounded by love. Born on September 23, 1982, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Roberta and Robert Pritchard. From an early age, Tenile embraced life with an adventurous heart and a passion for dance.

Tenile graduated from Newton Country Day School, where she discovered her passion for dance through the City Lights Dance Program, an experience that sparked her journey into the world of professional dance. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in business management with a minor in Dance from Manhattanville College in New York. While living in New York, she joined the renowned Alvin Ailey dance company, further nurturing her artistic talent. Her love for dance eventually took her to Chicago, where she performed with a professional dance company, gracing stages across the United States, including a performance at the Grammy Awards.

In 2009, Tenile made Las Vegas, Nevada, her forever home. While based in Nevada, she traveled often—both for work and for the sheer joy of exploring the world. Guided by a deep desire to help others, Tenile shifted her career to become a midwife and proudly earned her master's degree in nursing from UNLV in May 2025. Despite facing a second battle with colon cancer, Tenile's determination and strength never wavered, allowing her to proudly graduate.

Tenile was preceded in death by her beloved father, Robert Pritchard; her grandparents, Adeline and Benjamin Pope and James Pritchard; her aunts, Eva Pope, Rose Taldon, and Debra Pritchard; her uncles, Jimmy Pritchard and Ben Pope; and her cousin, Erolw Pope.

She leaves behind her loving mother, Roberta Pritchard; her sister in life (BIFFER) Sha-Dena Agnew; her devoted boyfriend, Andrew Jessup; and her beloved puppy, Captain. She also leaves behind four aunts, five uncles, and a host of extended family and close friends who will forever cherish her memory.
