Song Cha Chon was born on August 26th 1945, in Chungsan-Ri, North Korea. Her family fled the war torn area, and eventually settled in the city of Incheon, South Korea .

It was there, that she met her future husband, Joseph Roach. Joseph was a U.S soldier stationed , in  Incheon, South Korea, in the early 1970's. Soon after, in April of 1972, their first child , Sergio Roach , was born, in Incheon , South Korea, as well.

Joseph Roach's deployment to Korea , ended soon after. However, he did not forget about the woman,  or the child, left behind in South Korea .  He made arrangements, in the months after; and, on October 27, 1972, Song and Joseph were married in Lawton , Oklahoma, at Fort Sill.

Soonafter , Joseph Roach, was moved to Colorado Springs, and they had their second child, Ursula Roach, in November of 1973. The family continued to live there for another 3-4 years.

After that, Song and family moved, to be closer to Joseph's childhood home , of Boston MA;  where his parents William and Beulah Roach lived.

Song was a devoted mother, who brought warmth and love into her household and her children.  She had a brief stint of 5-10 years working in the laundry room, of Riverside Nursing Home, in Mattapan; but , had to stop, due to asthma and breathing problems.  She was also an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses; and spent many days going door to door, spreading Jehovah's word.  She stood by her husband's side, and offered support , throughout their 53 year marriage. But, later succumbed to a stroke, Alzheimers, and Dementia,  at the age of 80.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Roach; her son Sergio Roach; her daughter Ursula Roach; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
