Rosetha Naomi Washington, lovingly known as “Tiny” by her close friends and family, was born on February 23, 1946, in Boston, Massachusetts, as the 10th of 15 children to the late James Fuller Roberts Sr., of North Carolina, and Bertha Elizabeth Roberts, of Massachusetts. On August 12, 2026, Rosetha peacefully departed this life in Canton, Massachusetts, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, strength, and devotion.

From a very tender age, Tiny always had a curious mind and enjoyed keeping herself busy, At any given moment, you would find her immersed in crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading, crocheting, sewing, and electronics. Whether working with her hands, challenging her mind with a puzzle, learning something new, or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, Tiny found happiness in both simple and meaningful moments of life. Tiny's faith was woven into the foundation of her life, beginning in her childhood at Berea Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she was surrounded by faith, family, and a community that helped shape the woman she would become.

Tiny was educated in the Boston Public Schools, attending Lewis Middle School and Girls' Latin School. Throughout her working years, she held positions with Deaconess Hospital, MEDITECH, General Dynamics, and as a manager at McDonald's. Her life's journey also took her to Florida, where she lived for several years and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA}, caring for others with compassion before eventually returning home to Boston.

Above all else, Tiny was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her children, grand & great grandchildren were the heart of her world and among her greatest blessings. She loved them deeply, each in their own special way, and carried these roles with pride! Through every season, both joyful and difficult, her love for all of them remained constant. She wanted them to be happy, strong, and surrounded by love, and the bond she shared with them was one of the greatest treasures of her life.

Tiny was preceded in death by her parents James & Bertha and her siblings Joseph, Martha, James Jr., Clarence, Betty, Shirley, Timothy, David, Lawrence, and Mark.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Sharon of Brockton; Walter, Jr. of Randolph; David and his wife, Carol, of Athens, Alabama; and Elise of Hyde Park; her siblings: Charles Sr., Donna, Helen, and Marlene and her husband, Craig, her goddaughter: Renee Parker, her grandchildren: Robert, Sharise, Jada, Britany and her husband DeAndre, Porter and his wife Nicole, Ross and his wife Gabriella, Isaiah, and Walter, and great-grand children: London, Macey, Antwaun, Shia, Brayden, and Khani; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Tiny will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, family, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
