Ronald
Jones
Oct 6, 1949 — Apr 19, 2026
Ronald Davis Jones, a beloved husband, devoted man of faith, and cherished friend passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 76. He was a resident of Randolph, Massachusetts but his roots began in Stanford, Kentucky where he attended high school and later on, Eastern Kentucky University before heading to Boston in 1972.
Ron was the son of the late James Henry Jones and Anna Mae Jones. Growing up in Kentucky, his life was shaped by the values of hard work, generosity, and family devotion, which served as a foundation for his life. He was married to and shared his life with Fannie Delores Jones. Their 40-year marriage was a true partnership of love, mutual respect, and unwavering commitment. Fannie was his anchor, and his devotion to her was one of the defining joys of his life.
Professionally, Ron dedicated 20+ years to Graybar Electric Company, where he served as a Warehouse Supervisor before retiring. He approached his work with discipline and integrity, earning the respect of colleagues throughout his career. He had a genuine gift for numbers and organization, skills that served him well both on the job and in every corner of his life.
If you wanted to find Ron at his happiest, you'd find him on the open ocean, relaxed in a boat with good friends, lines cast into the water, deep sea fishing. His other loves were cooking and church. He utilized his love for computers and finances to serve faithfully as a Trustee and Treasurer of the Born Again Evangelistic Outreach Ministry, Boston, MA. under the leadership of Bishop Hessie Lee Harris. He found deep fulfillment in reading and studying God's Word, a lifelong pursuit that fueled both his mind and his spirit. His Christian life was visible and impactful to others who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard Jones and James Payne Jones, and his sister, Rosalyn Hutchinson. He is survived by his wife, Fannie Delores Jones, best friend and fishing buddy, Robert Yeary of South Carolina. He leaves a host of nieces and nephews to whom he was known as "Uncle Ronnie": Patricia (Paul), Jeffrey (Debbie), Theresa, and Letha. There is also a host of great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
