Robert Samuel Morant, affectionately known as Bobby by his family and Moe by his friends, was born on October 31, 1966.

Bobby dedicated many years of service working as a Youth Counselor for the Department of Youth, helping troubled teens. He also worked in construction and at the Salvation Army for a significant period until his illness.

Bobby enjoyed simple pleasures like fishing and watching sports on TV, especially basketball and football. He also found joy in sitting in his car and listening to music for hours.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father Wallace D. Morant. He leaves behind his loving mother, Dolores Morant Lampley, and his stepfather, George Lampley. He is also survived by his four brothers: Wallace Morant, Charles Morant, William Morant, and Rodney Morant; his sister, Juanita Morant; his sister-in-law, Demetrius Morant; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles in New York and North Carolina.

He was a gentle giant and will be greatly missed.
