Robert Lee
Bell
Sep 20, 1961 — Oct 5, 2025
Robert Lee Bell went to be with the lord on October 5, 2025. Though we mourn his loss, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace in heaven. Robert Lee was born to Louise Bell and the late Wilmon P. Bell on September 20,1961 in Holly Hill, South Carolina.
Robert Lee was born with health challenges but never allowed those challenges to define him. He spent his life defying the odds and living each day with an unwavering determination, inspirational resilience and boundless joy. He migrated to Boston MA as a young adult in 1978 with his mother and siblings. Robert Lee was a hard worker and very independent.
He worked in various capacities in the retail industry and was a dedicated employee. His most beloved job was his employment at Stop and Shop where he worked for over 25 years. He assisted and greeted many customers and made several friends along the way. He worked under various weather conditions and was counted on by his colleagues and enjoyed every minute of it.
He liked putting a smile on the faces of his colleagues and customers. And what a smile he had, his smile could make worries disappear. He often called himself "Big Daddy and reclaimed the nick name "Bell Boy" from his father often saying, "I'm the Bell Boy!" His charm was undeniable, and he had a keen appreciation for a pretty lady.
Robert Lee was a laid-back man, when he was not working, you would find him enjoying one of his favorite television shows such as Walker, Texas Ranger and The Incredible Hulk. He liked 1980s sitcoms, westerns, Bruce Lee karate movies and Sci Fi network. He also believed that one day he would be the big prize winner with the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. Robert Lee loved his family very much. He was a devoted and helpful son to his mother, a loving brother to his siblings, and the most wonderful and supportive uncle.
He always had candy and snacks on hand to share with nieces and nephews and was a great caregiver and protector of them as well. Robert Lee was also very generous; he would give you the shirt of his back. He had the kindest heart, he left a lasting impression, and everyone loved him because he was love.
Robert Lee leaves behind his devoted and dear mother Louise Bell, his siblings Lucinda, Willmon Lee, Herbert, Michael, Louvenia, Arthur (Angelica), Abraham, Larry (Keisha). Two aunts, six nieces and five nephews, three great-nephews; and two great-nieces. And a host of other family and friends. He is predeceased by his father Wilmon "Pump" Bell. Our family gatherings will feel quieter without his hearty voice and humor, but we will carry the joy he gave us in our hearts forever. Thank you, Robert Lee, for who you were to all of us. Rest well, knowing you were deeply loved.
