Ny'Asia Ashley President affectionally known by family as "Ny" was born on January 13, 2000 to Eric and Tara President in Boston, Massachusetts. Ny'Asia was the only child and her parents' greatest gift.
Ny'Asia was fortunate enough to attend Bedford Public Schools from elementary school to high school. She worked hard to maintain good grades; graduating with honors from Bedford High School. She participated in competitive swimming with the Flaherty Dolphins of Roslindale.
While attending high school and swimming competitively, she worked as a Team Supervisor at Dunkin' Donuts for several years.
Ny'Asia attended UMass Dartmouth, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Society in 2022. She made Dean's List the first two years and subsequently the Chancellor's List the next two years; graduating Magna Cum Laude.
She loved the analytical aspect of science and decided to change career paths and became a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
She joined the Big Brothers and Sisters program in college and mentored a wonderful young lady, Gloria. She always cherished this relationship. They would both earn the "Best Match as a Mentor 2019-2021".
Ny'Asia joined the STEMMING while Black program during college which is a multicultural program catering to students interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
After graduating, she became certified as a Clinical Research Associate and was accepted as a team member at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Research Department. She felt she could make a difference in the lives of the patients and their families affected by cancer.
To reward herself for this major milestone in her life, she purchased a brand new car.
Ny'Asia possessed an endless amount of energy. She insatiable desire for learning and helping people. She filmed tutorials on makeup application on You Tube and assisted others with marketing and event planning.
Ny'Asia familial relationships were of the utmost importance to her. She cherished time with her grandparents; whether it was watching television, shopping at the mall or dining at a nice restaurant.
We will certainly miss her candor, intellect and beautiful SMILE. She leaves cherished memory to her parents, Eric and Tara President; Grandparents Josie and George Summers. Aunts and uncles; Ida (Arthur) Sturdivant, Willie (Beverly) President, Viola (late Charles) Wilson, Rose President, Carol (Charles) Cooper, Ernest (Patricia) President, Theresa (Michael) Grannum, Gregory (Marilyn) Butler, Regina (Keving Kerr) Butler and Tony Butler. Godparents ;Fanita Grubbs, Cassandra Davis and Marietta Mitchell. She will also be lovingly remembered by a host of cousins' extended family and her dearest friends Shaakira Mierez, Alexis Alexander and Monica Thai.
She leaves a legacy of love and fond memories.
