Neville George
Craig
Jul 8, 1939 — Jul 23, 2024
Neville George Craig also known as Nev, Swordman, Craiggy and Cornny, was born on July 8th 1939 in Woodhall Clarendon, Jamaica. Son of Richard and Ivy (Johnson)Craig, he worked as a mason in the Clarendon area before migrating to the United States in 1967. While living on Devon Street in Boston he met his wife Joyce who he married in 1974.
Neville worked for 40 years as a window washer for Unico where he was well loved and respected by his coworkers. He was so dedicated to his job that he was always on time and never called out sick during the time that he worked there. He retired in 2005 and was able to spend more time with his grandchildren watching sports and enjoying their cooking. They also had many occasions where he would face Time them late at night just for fun.
Nev was a pilar of strength to the family he was always willing to assist family members in any which way he could. He was a good friend to so many and he was very straight forward and could be counted and depended on always. Whether you needed sound counsel, and an empathetic ear, a shoulder to lean on companionable silence; he was your man. Nev enjoyed fishing with his brothers and nephews and spending time playing Dominoes at the park with his friends.
Nev leaves to cherish the wonderful memory of a life well lived with his wife Joyce Craig. His daughter Jascinth Craig and also his brothers Lawrence (Tom) and Raymond (Alton) Craig, sister Elaine Duncan-Pixley all preceded him in death. He left behind Brothers Marvin Craig, Junior and Clive Francis, Trevor Lloyd and sister Doreen Morgan-Rose to bereave his passing. Daughter Nordia Ellis and her husband Neufield (Mark) Ellis.
