Naomi Ruth Howard peacefully departed this life on Friday, April 11, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1942, in Winton, North Carolina, to the late Clarence and Ruth (Bunch) Boone. Naomi was one of twelve children in a loving and close-knit family.

She met her future husband, William Howard, while in high school. In 1959, Naomi relocated to Boston, where fate reunited her with William. The two were later married and built a life together filled with love and family.

Naomi worked for many years with the City of Boston, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life—she was a longtime member of St. John's Baptist Church, and later attended New Hope Baptist Church.

Naomi was a devoted and loving mother to four children. She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family.

On April 11, 2025, God gently closed her eyes and granted her eternal peace.

Naomi leaves to mourn her children; Eugene (Earline) Boone of Randolph, MA. Christine Boone-Brutus, the late William Howard, Jr., Boston, MA ; Denise Howard-Jean, Boston, MA , 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 surviving sister Elnora Wilson  of Boston. She is survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and dear friends.
